A Resource For Your Family

Welcome, I'm Beth Jewitt, your Educational Mentor.
 

Before we begin I am going to say something bold, YOU DON'T NEED A FANCY CURRICULUM TO EDUCATE YOUR KIDS! (Crazy, right?, but true!)
 

As we spend time together, I will give you the resources your family needs to create a simple homeschooling experience and providing freedom to your family while catering to your child's/children's individual needs. 

Here are my credentials: 
-I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1993. 
-I spent 11 years teaching grades 1-5 in a public school system. 
-I helped open a project-based charter school, which featured multiage classrooms. These classrooms resembled a one room schoolhouse in that the emphasis was on the child and not the grade level.
-I piloted homeschooling 14 children ages 5-12 in my home. This experience led me to homeschool my own children and leave my full time employment behind. 
- I then homeschooled two of my own three children.  
 

As my passion for homeschooling grew, I started an in-home preschool. My primary goal at that time was to give parents the skills to teach their children to read. By empowering them with these skills, I was giving them the opportunity to make a choice to homeschool their children or to send them to public school.

-I continue to teach preschool and work with families as a mentor and consultant for their homeschooling journey.
